Chronic osteomyelitis is still characterized by difficult treatment, both in its medicinal and surgical forms, especially when it affects the immature skeleton. The successful outcomes involve an analysis of laboratory tests and imaging, targeting and adjustments of antimicrobial therapy, as well as the best choice in the access route and extension of the surgical procedure. This article demonstrates the method of treatment performed in a patient with chronic osteomyelitis of the diaphysis of left forearm and its curative result, and without any functional alteration.
