The development of oncology, and better understanding of bone tumors, make possible limb salvage procedures, in tumors that the only think to do was an amputation. The utilization of non convencional endoprosthesis in the treatment of bone tumors, make possible solutions where the bone loss were great , and any other method of reconstruction could result in fail.The authors discuss the indication, models and particularities about this method so commom nowadays in the treatment of bone tumors.
