Knee contractures in arthrogryposis are very common and recurrent. In children, a high remodeling potential allows us to "trick the knee" through distal femoral extensor osteotomy, with controlled weakening of the anterior femoral cortex through multiple perforations. We report a child with approximately 30-degree bilateral deformity, with distal arthrogryposis, treated with this approach.
