Humeral shaft fractures account for 3% of all fractures in the body,
representing 20% of humeral fracture cases in adults. Conservative
treatment tends to be the treatment of choice for this type of fracture.
However, in obese patients, polytrauma patients, or in cases of vascular-
nerve injury, surgical treatment is a management option. In this
article, we will present the Belangero technique, also known as bridge
plate osteosynthesis for humeral shaft fractures.
